General

What is Endurotube?

Endurotube is our own brand name for all our tubes.

25CRMO4 tubes

What are the mechanical properties of 25CrMo4?

25CrMo4 is known for its excellent combination of strength and toughness. The material offers a minimum yield strength of 700 MPa, a tensile strength of 800–1000 MPa, and a minimum elongation of 15%.

These mechanical properties make 25CrMo4 not only a high-strength material but also sufficiently tough to absorb loads and impacts without becoming brittle. As a result, it is widely used for chassis, frames, aerospace structures, and other safety-critical applications where reliability is essential.

What is 25CrMo4 steel?

25CrMo4 is a low-alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum. This combination provides high strength, good toughness, and an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. As a result, 25CrMo4 is widely used in motorsport, mechanical engineering, and structural applications where high loads occur.

Is 25CrMo4 suitable for roll cages?

Yes, 25CrMo4 is commonly used for the construction of roll cages. Its high tensile strength and toughness make it possible to build strong yet lightweight structures. This makes the material particularly popular in motorsport and chassis construction.

What is the difference between 25CrMo4 and standard structural steel?

25CrMo4 provides significantly higher strength than many standard structural steels. This often allows the use of thinner wall thicknesses, resulting in a lighter structure without compromising strength.

Is ENDUROTUBE 25CrMo4 a seamless tube?

Yes, ENDUROTUBE 25CrMo4 is a cold-drawn seamless precision tube. This ensures accurate dimensional tolerances and consistent material properties, which are important for structural applications.

Aluminium tubes

How to bend aluminium tubes?

For optimal bending results, we recommend annealing (stress relieving) the tubes first. This helps prevent cracking and improves bending reliability.

Bending process:

  • Mark the tube with a permanent marker

  • Heat the tube evenly using a wide torch

  • When the marking disappears, the correct temperature has been reached

Recommended annealing temperature: 300–400 °C

This method ensures controlled heating and makes the material locally more ductile, resulting in a clean and reliable bend.

Why choose EN AW-6060 T66?

EN AW-6060 is a popular choice for cooling systems thanks to:

  • Good corrosion resistance

  • Excellent weldability

  • High machinability

  • Lightweight

  • Suitable for custom applications

The T66 (F22) temper provides an optimal balance between mechanical strength and formability, which is essential for piping systems and assembly.
