Key Features

Designer: XYZ

Design tube parts using an intuitive XYZ interface. This interface utilizes endpoints, bend locations, and centerline radius. Bend-Tech software provides key data such as LRA (Length, Rotation, and Angle), cut length, spring back data, and weights, offering a complete overview of your design.

CAD Import (STEP and IGES)

Import round tubes from CAD systems. Bend-Tech supports file formats such as IGES (.iges, .igs), STEP (.step, .stp), DXF (.dxf), and BREP (.brep). 

Advanced Calculation Output (LRA or YBC)

Adjust location (length), rotation, and angle-specific settings flexibly to your preference. The software includes a graphical layout interface that provides a detailed print of the flattened tube, complete with dimensions.

Designer: Reverse Engineering

This tool allows you to input past bending instructions and create a Bend-Tech XYZ or LRA model. It is also useful for redesigning parts with incorrect radius sizes on LRA prints.

1D Nesting

Optimize material usage by calculating the best yield from available stock lengths. This is ideal for projects with specific quantities and lengths.

Large Radius Bending

Design parts with large radii, typically manufactured using a ring roll or section roller. This type of bending is commonly used in the railing and marine industries.

Designer: Assembly Design

For customers without a CAD system, Bend-Tech offers an easy interface to build a complete assembly. Combine straight parts with bent parts to create a comprehensive design.

Cutting Wrappers

Create cutting wrappers: printed templates that show the cut profile and can be wrapped around the tube. These templates include rotation and location calibration lines for precise alignment. The software also provides instructions for drilling holes with a hole saw.

Designer: Custom Part 3D

The Custom 3D Part interface allows you to define parts by following the material’s centerline. Directional terms such as left, right, front, back, ceiling, and floor make the design process intuitive. Bend angles and rotations are automatically calculated.

Designer: Custom Part 2D

Start a design by entering the distance between bends and the angles for each bend. Length values can be entered as apex or tangent values. Custom Part 2D also supports bends in opposite directions (180-degree rotation).

Bending Simulation

The simulation helps manufacturers visualize the bending process before running the part through the machine. This confirms manufacturability and the correct bending sequence. (*Please note that collision detection is not included.)
